Many of us spend a good portion of our day sitting down, which in the long run can lead to tight hips and hamstrings, a weak core, and lower back pain.  While we can't all quit our desk bound jobs, we can be more mindful in the ways that we sit, how long we sit for, and the movement we make when we are not in a seated position.

Check out the video below for a quick 10 minute yoga practice for happy and healthy hips and hamstrings!

What are the hip flexors?

The hip flexors are several muscles that bring your legs and the mid-section of your body together. They allow you to move your legs and knee up towards your torso, as well as you to bend forward at your torso.

What are the hamstrings?

The hamstrings are a group of 3 muscles that run down the back of your leg. They run from the hip to just behind the knee joint. They are responsible for hip extension and knee flexion.
