  1. Lowers cholesterol. In  particular, turmeric is great for lowering bad cholesterol, also known as, LDL. LDL  cholesterol can build up on the walls of your arteries and increase chances of heart disease.

  2. Manages arthritis. While turmeric won’t cure the disease, it’s anti-inflammatory properties can assist in reducing the pain caused by inflammation.

  3. Prevents cancer. Within turmeric is a magical compound called curcumin, which is said to help prevent the cells that cause cancer,  slow the growth of cancer, and even help make radiation and chemotherapy more effective.
