Join Sarah Erter for an evening of meditation followed by a Yin + Yang Yoga practice.
Meditation and Yoga are practices that create space in the mind, body, and heart. There is much to be explored in the spaces created through the complementary energies of movement and stillness. Following the opportunity to meditate in community, the Yin portion of class will incorporate poses that are held for time to address the deeper framework of connective tissue within the musculoskeletal system. The quiet energy of Yin will create an environment that continues to develop mindfulness while promoting rest and replenishment of energy. The Yang portion of class will support the strength and stability of the cardiovascular system while encouraging the circulation of energy throughout the body by building from stillness into a mindful slow movement with inspiration from Qigong. This offering will share inspiration from Traditional Chinese Medicine with an emphasis on poses to promote the flow of energy (Qi) through lines of energy (meridians) that correspond to the body, the mind, the seasons, the five elements, and nature.
